The colloquium has distinguished itself by the presence of certain teachers and researchers from Romania, Spain and Serbia whose areas of expertise comprise the four thematic fields of the colloquium: The thematic sections have been established by the members of the project Linguistic Skills in L3 and Multicultural Identity — Linguistic Integration Variables of Romanian Students in Immigration Contexts, in conformity with the research themes that have been analysed during the implementation of the project.
Five conferences were held within the colloquium and all of them were supported by nationally and internationally known specialists in the field of language skills and multicultural identity. His presence at the conference was very important, because he underlined the purpose of learning Spanish via new technologies and he insisted on introducing computers, tablets and mobile phones within the teaching-learning methods.
Furthermore, she shed a light on the situation of the Spanish baccalaureate exam in Romania and presented exam samples. On this matter, there was a discussion held on the subjects of the Spanish baccalaureate exam, its difficulty level and the results obtained by pupils.
Once the exam is passed, pupils have the possibility to get admitted at universities in Spain. At the same time, it is acknowledged that these pupils receive a double baccalaureate degree.
The diploma is issued both in Romanian and in English. Thanks to her experience of many years as a Spanish teacher in non-formal education, Magda Banu presented us playful teaching methods which motivate pupils in learning the foreign language.
Another guest, Javier Helgueta Manso, from Alcala University Spainpresented a short history of scientific activities performed by Romanian teachers in Spain. Furthermore, the members of the project held speeches in which they fleshed out the project and the results of research.
At the end of the colloquium, certain aspects related to the aforementioned speeches were analysed and commentated upon and discussions were held regarding the themes which were representative for each section.
It has been concluded that this colloquium must continue and be organised every year or every two years, because it is a unique event in Eastern Europe.
